Powers of the State, District Public Health Officers to improve the quality of water.— If the State Public Health Officer or the District Public Health Officer is satisfied that the source of public water supply in a local area is contaminated or under the risk of contamination they may issue directions in writing to the Local Public Health Officer to take such measures as may be specified therein.
