Short title, commencement, extent and application .—(1) This Act may be called the Kerala Promotion of Tree Growth in Non-Forest Areas Act, 2005. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Kerala. (3) It shall come into force at once. * Received the assent of the Governor on the 8th day of September, 2005 and published in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No. 2089 dated 8th September, 2005. 3 (4) It shall apply to all non-forest lands in the State.
