Power of Tribunal and custodian

Power of Tribunal and custodian.—-The Tribunal and the custodian shall, for the purpose of exercising any power conferred by or under this Act, have all the powers of a civil court while trying a suit under the Code of Civil Pro— cedure. 1908 (Central Act 5 of 1908). in respect of the follow— ing matters, namely :— (a) summoning and enforcing the attendance of any person and examining him on oath; (b) requiring the discovery and production of any document; (c) receiving evidence on aflldavit; (d) issuing commissions for the exammatton of wit- nesses or for local investigation; (e) inspecting any property or thing concerning which any decision has to be taken; (1' 245 (f) requisitioning of any public record or copy thereof from any court or omce; and (g) any other matter which may be prescribed.
