(1) The State shall be divided into such number of zones as may be necessary for the purposes of administration and management of Prisons and Correctional Services. (2) Each zone shall be under the administrative control and supervision of a Deputy Inspector General of Prisons and Correctional Services and he shall exercise such powers and functions, as may be prescribed. (3) The Deputy Inspector General in each zone shall be assisted by Superintendent and other subordinate officers of the Prison and Correctional Services, to exercise Or perform the powers and functions under the Act and rules made thereunder.
