Medical Officer shall not administer any medicine to any prisoner without informing him of what is being administered to him: Provided that the Medical Officer may administer any such medicine to any prisoner without informing him of what is being administered, in emergent situations, where the prisoner is unconscious or in a state in which he is not fit to understand and respond to such information.
