Penalty for dwnterring carcass of diseased ammal.-Whoever, without lawful authonty, dismters or causes to be dismterred the carcass or part of the carcass of any animal which at the time of its death was infective or which has been destroyed as being infective or suspected of being infective, shall be punishable, in the case of a first conviction, w1th imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months or with fine which may extend to two hundred rupees, or with · both, and, m the case of a second or subsequent conviction, with imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months, or with fine ~ which may extend to five hundred rupees, or with both,
