(1) Any person may report before the Secretary regarding any violation of the provisions of section 219 and sections 219A to 219Y or any offence relating to waste management, including littering, dumping or throwing waste into public places and water bodies. (2) Subject to the guidelines as may be issued by the Government, from time to time, the Village Panchayat may give rewards to persons who report violations and offences under sub-section (1). (3) Any person who maliciously or intentionally makes false report under sub-section(1) to harm or cause loss to another person shall, on conviction, be punished with fine which may extend to ten thousand rupees.] Inserted by ACT 5 OF 2024 published in K.G.Ext.
