Section 4

Nomination of members in default of election

If any of the members mentioned in clause (b), clause (d), clause (e) or clause (f) of sub-section (2) of section 3 is not elected, the Government may, as the case may be, nominate such member, registered nurse, registered midwife, registered auxiliary nurse-midwife or registered health visitor as they may deem fit, and the member, registered nurse, registered midwife, registered auxiliary nurse-midwife or registered health visitor so nominated shall be deemed to have been duly elected under clause (b), clause (d), clause (e) or clause (f) of sub-section (2) of section 3, as the case may be.
