(1) The term of office of the members of the Academic Council, nominated or co-opted, shall be four years from the date of their nomination or co-option, as the case may be, or his nomination is withdrawn or cancelled by the nominating authority. (2) Where a person has become a member of the Academic Council by reason of the office or appointment he holds, the membership shall cease when he ceases to hold that office or appointment.
