(1) The Secretary may, with the approval of the Chairperson, by an Order in writing require the concerned Village Officer of the Municipal area to furnish him with such categories of information as may be prescribed, in respect of a Village or any part thereof or any person or property therein and every such order shall be complied with by the Village Officer. (2) Where the Village Officer fails to comply with an order issued under sub-section (1) the Secretary may report the matter to the District Collector and the District Collector shall initiate, disciplinary action against the Village Officer and make arrangements' for furnishing the information required by the Secretary.] Section 530A inserted by Act 14 of 1999, w.e.f. 24/03/1999.
