Every inspecting or superintending officer holding any enquiry into matters falling within the scope of their duties shall have, for the purposes of such enquiry, the same powers in regard to the issue of summonses for the attendance of witnesses and the production of documents as are conferred upon the revenue officers by the Kerala Enquiries and Summonses Act, 1960 (4 of 1960) and the provisions of that Act shall apply to summonses issued and to persons summoned by virtue of the powers conferred by this section.
