[(1)] Where a church, mosque, temple, mutt or any place of religious worship or instruction or any place which is used for holding fairs, festivals or for other like purposes is situated within a municipal area or the neighbourhood thereof and attracts, either throughout the year or on particular occasions a large number of persons, requiring special arrangements necessary for public health, safety or convenience, whether permanent or temporary, by the Municipality, the Municipality may require the trustee or other person having control over such place to make such recurring or nonrecurring contributions to the funds of that Municipality as determined by Government. [(2) No person shall organise an event or gathering of more than one hundred persons at any unlicensed place without intimating the Municipality, at least three working days in advance and such person or the organiser of such event shall ensure segregation of waste at source and handing over of the same to the waste collector or agency as specified by the Municipality on such fees as may be fixed by the Municipality: Provided that such fees shall not be less than the actual rate of cost for the management of such waste and the same shall be paid in advance as directed by Municipality.] Renumbered by ACT 6 OF 2024 published in K.G.Ext.
