Section 314

Penalty for maintaining and running unregistered private hospitals and private paramedical institutions.

Any person maintaining or running an unregistered private hospital or private paramedical institution in contravention of the provisions of this Act shall, on conviction [be punished with fine which may extend to five thousand rupees and after making such conviction if maintaining or conducting a Private Hospital or Paramedical Institution in contravention of the provisions of this Act shall be, punished with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees for each day during which the offence continues.] Section 314 substituted by Act 14 of 1999, w.e.f. 24-3-1999. Prior to the substitution section 314 read as under: "be punished with fine which may extend to five thousand rupees."
