Any person may be nominated as a candidate for election to fill a seat if he is qualified to be chosen to fill that seat under the provisions of this Act: 24B[Provided that a person nominated as a candidate for filling up a seat in a Municipality shall not be nominated as candidate in another ward of the same Municipality] Proviso added by Act 8 of 1995, w.e.f. 05/08/1995.
