Whoever molests or abets the molestation of any debtor for the recovery of any loan shall be punished with imprisonment which may extend to six months or with fine which may extend to 3A[ten thousand rupees] or with both. Substituted by Act 11 of 2015 (w.e.f. 01/04/2015). Prior to the amendment it read as "one thousand rupees".
