(1) Any owner of the boat building yard or fishing net production unit aggrieved by an order of the authorised officer refusing, suspending or cancelling the registration or refusing the renewal of registration may, within thirty days from the date of receipt of such order, prefer an appeal to the Joint Director of Fisheries, Government of Kerala of the zone concerned. (2) On receipt of an appeal under sub-section (1), the Joint Director of Fisheries, Government of Kerala of the zone concerned shall, after conducting such enquiry as he deems fit and after giving the appellant and the authorised officer concerned an opportunity of being heard, pass such orders thereon as he deems fit.
