Preamble.-WHEREAS it is necessary to provide for the appoint- ment of a Special Officer to perform the functions of the Malabar- District Board; BE it enacted m the Eighth Year of the Republic of India as follows- I. Short title, extent and commencemenf.-(1) This Act may be called the Malabar District Board (Temporary Provil!ions) Act, 1957. (2) It extends to the whole of the Malabar distnct referred to in sub-sectiou (2) of section 5 of the States Reorga.msatwn .o\ct, 1956. (3) It shall come into force at once.
