(1) There shall be a Dean of each faculty, who shall be nominated by the Chancellor in consultation with the Vice Chancellor by rotation from among the Heads of University Departments or Professors. (1A) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (1), where a University Department has not been started under a faculty, the Dean of such faculty shall be nominated by the Chancellor in consultation with the Vice Chancellor, from among the Heads of Departments are Professors of other Universities in the State or affiliated Government Colleges for professional courses, in the University area.; (2) The Dean of each faculty shall be responsible for the due observance of the Statutes, Ordinances, Regulations and Bye-laws relating to that faculty. (3) The Dean of a faculty shall hold office for a term of two years and shall be eligible for renomination.
