Section 11

The Pro-Vice-Chancellor

(1) The Chancellor may, if he considers it necessary, appoint a Pro-Vice Chancellor from among a panel of names submitted to him by the Vice-Chancellor (2) No person who is more than [sixty] years of age shall be appointed as Pro-Chancellor. (3) The Pro Vice Chancellor shall be a whole time salaried officer of the University. [(4) The Pro-Vice-Chancellor shall hold office for a term of four years from the date on which he enters upon his office and shall be eligible for re-appointment.] (5) The salary and the other conditions of service of the Pro-Vice Chancellor shall be such as may be prescribed by the Statutes. (6) Subject to the provisions of this Act and the Statutes, Ordinances and Regulations, the powers and functions of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor shall be determined by the Vice-Chancellor.
