Section 106

Authorities of an Autonomous College.--

(1) The following shall be the authorities of an Autonomous College, namely:-- (i) The Academic Council of an Autonomous College; (ii) The Board of Studies of an Autonomous College; (iii) The Governing Council. (2) Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, or the Statutes, Ordinances or Regulations made under this Act, all matters including the invitations, processing and approval of application for grant of autonomy, the constitution of the authorities in an Autonomous College and their powers and the powers of the University over an Autonomous College shall be dealt with in accordance with the provisions of this Chapter. (3) If there is any dispute whether any provision in any existing Statute, Regulation and Ordinances of the University is inconsistent with or has the effect of overriding or contradicting any provision in this Chapter, the decision of Government shall be final.
