(1) This Act may be called the Kerala Lime Shells (Control) Act, 1958. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Kerala. (3) This section shall come into force at once, and the Government may, from time to time, by notification in the Gazette, direct that the rest of this Act shall come into force in the whole of any portion of the State with effect from such date as may be specified in the notification.
