Repeal and saving.—(1) The Kerala Lifts and Escalators Ordinance, 2013 (20 of 2013) is hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or deemed to have been done or any action taken or deemed to have been taken under the said Ordinance, shall be deemed to have been done or taken under this Act: Provided that no person shall be convicted of an offence alleged to have committed under the provision of this Act during the period from 23rd July, 2012 to 21st August, 2012, the date of publication of the Kerala Lifts and Escalators Ordinance, 2012 (51 of 2012) in the Gazette.
