Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, the Government may direct any local authority as defined in the Kerala Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 (13 of 1994) or in the Kerala Municipality Act, 1994 (20 of 1994) to take up schemes for Watershed Management in the priority areas based on the advice of the Board.] Inserted by Act 16 of 2000 G.
