/k/e,wstion of po'crv.-( I) The Government may. by notification in the Gazette, authorise any authority or officer to exercise any of the power vested in them by or under this Act, except the power to make rules under section 40, and nay in like manner withdraw such authority. .3- (2) The Board may, by general or special order in writing, delegate in the Commissioner or other officer of the Board such of its powers and functions under this Act, except the power to make regulations under section 42, as it may deem necessary, - and may in like manner withdraw such authority. -I- 4 ! The exercise of any power delegated under sub-section (I) or sub-section (2) shall be subject to such restrictions and conditions as may be specified in the order and also to control and revision by the Government or by such officer as may be empowered by the Government in this behalf or, as the base may he, by the l3oard or such officer as may be empowered by the Board in this behalf. I The Government or the l3oard as the case may be, shall also have the power to control and revise the acts and proceedings of any officer empowered under sub-section (3). (2) No suit or other legal proceeding shall lie against the Government or the Board for any damage caused or likely to be caused by anything which is in good faith done or intended to he done in pursuance of this Act or any rule or order ?de thereunder.
