Save as otherwise expressly provided in this Act, the Senate shall have the following powers, namely:-- (a) to review, from time to time, the board policies and programmes of the University; (b) to suggest measures for the improvement and development of the University; (c) to consider and pass resolution on the annual report and the annual accounts of the University and the audit report on such accounts; and (d) to advise the chancellor in respect of any matter which may be referred to it for advice.] Substituted by the Kannur University (Amendment) Act 2001 (Act 14 of 2001).
