(1) The Government may appoint a Chief Executive Officer and such number of other officers and staff as they consider necessary to assist the Board in the discharge of its functions and duties in addition to those officers appointed under section 6 of this Act. (2) Subject to the provisions of sub-section (3), the method of appointment, salary and allowances, disciplinary conditions and other conditions of service of the Chief Executive Officer and the other officers and staff appointed under sub-section (1) shall be such, as may be prescribed by Government. (3) In the case of direct recruitment to the posts in the Board, the provisions in the Rules 14 to 17 in Part I of the Kerala State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1958 as amended from time to time shall be complied with.
