The Vice-Chairman. - (1) An eminent educationalist, preferably a former Vice-Chancellor shall be appointed by the Government as the Vice- Chairman of the Council. (2) The Vice-Chairman shall be the executive head of the Council. (3) The Vice-Chairman shall preside over the meetings of the Executive Council and shall preside over the meetings of the Advisory Council and the Governing Council in the absence of the Visitor and the Chairman, as the case may be. (4) The Vice-Chairman, shall exercise such other powers and perform such other functions as may be prescribed.
