Expartc dtsposal of crimmal chat ge .-If, in any prosecution under this Act, the person charged does not appear as directed by the summons, the Magistrate may, upon proof of personal service and if no sufficient cause be shown for the non-appearance, proceed to dispose of the case in his absence.
