The maxtmum distance to whtch the dnver zs bound to drive.- ( I) The driver of every hackney carriage shall be bound to drive such carriage to any place named by the hirer which is not more than 3 miles from the place of hiring in the case of veh1cles of the description speci- fied in clause (f) of section 9, and in the case of any other vehicle, not more than six miles. (2) When any hackney carnage is hired by time, the dnver thereof shall dnve the same at a rate of speed not less than that pres- cribed by "lhe registering authonty. (3) A dnvcr faihng, Without 1easonable Pxcuse, to comply w1th the provisiOns of tillS sectiOn shall be hable to a fine not exceeding ten rupees.
