Power of Government to call forrecords and pass orders.-~ 1) The Govern- ment may call lor and examine the record of the Commissioner or of the Committee in respect of any proceeding, not being a proceeding in respect of which a suit or application to the court is provided by this Act, to satisfy themselves that the provisions of this Act have not been violated or the interests of the Devaswom have been safeguarded and if, in any case, it 70 appears to the Gov<>rnment tltat any deci,ton m· orucr pa~~erl in such proceeding has v:o!.tteu the provt~iom of tim Ad or ~~ not iu the mtcrcst of the Deva~wom, they ma.y nndtly, annul or reverse ~uch decision oro der or remit ~uch dec1sion or order lor reconsideration : Provided that the Government shall not pas~ any order prejudicial to any party unles~ he has I <ld a reasona'>le opportunity of making t.is representation~.
