All Officers of the Forest, Police, Public Works and Revenue Departments shall collect any timber which is deemed to be the property of Government under Section 42 of the Kerala Forest Act, 1961 (4 of 1962) remove such timber to the nearest Forest Depot, Watch Station, Range Office Compound, Foresters or Guards Station Compound, Police Station or Village Office Compound or to any Government land where such timber can be kept safely and keep such timber in safe custody of the Government.
