Secretary of committee.— (1) The Fisheries Officer shall be the Secretary of the committee. (2) The secretary shall carry into effect the decisions of the committee: Provided that the secretary shall, in cases where he is satisfied that any decision made by the committee is ultra vires the provisions of this Act or any other law for the time being in force or is against the objects of this Act, report the matter to the Director within such time as may be prescribed and carry the decision into effect if it is not suspended or cancelled by the Director. (3) The secretary shall perform such other functions, including financial functions, as may be prescribed. (4) The 5[Kerala State Co-operative Federation for Fisheries Development] may transfer the secretary, and shall do so if such transfer is recommended by a resolution of the committee passed at a meetting specially called for the purpose and supported by the votes of the majority of the members of the committee. 5 Substituted by Act 26 of 1986(w.e.f 29th November, 1984). 9
