Engineering Supervisor (1) Promotion from Operatives; or (2) In the absence of suitable candidates for promotion, direct recruitment 7. Inspector (1) Direct recruitment; or (2) Promotion from the categories of Sub-Inspectors, Assistant Inspectors, and Assistant Fishery Demonstrators; or (3) Transfer from among Upper Division Clerks employed in the Fisheries Department. Mechanical Overseer (1) (2) Recruitment by transfer from any other Service; or In the absence of suitable candidates for transfer, direct recruitment. 25. Fieldman (1) By promotion of Laboratory Attenders or Petty Yard Officers; or (2) In the absence of suitable candidates for promotion, transfer from the Last Grade Employees in the Department; or (3) In the absence of suitable candidates for promotion or transfer, direct recruitment. 26. Assistant Operator (1) (2) Promotion from the category of Iceman; or In the absence of suitable candidates for promotion, direct recruitment. [26A. Syrang (Motor Boat) (1) Appointment or promotion from the category of Boat Drivers, Tindal-cum-Drivers and Tindals; or (2) In the absence of candidates for promotion, recruitment by transfer from any other service; or (3) In the absence of candidates for promotion or transfer, direct recruitment. 30. Boat Overseer (1) Promotion from the categories of Tindals of Fishing Vessel; or (2) In the absence of suitable candidates for promotion, direct recruitment. 31. Petty Yard Officer (1) Recruitment by transfer from the Last Grade Employees in the Department; or (2) In the absence of suitable candidates for transfer, direct recruitment. 32. Laboratory Attender (1) Transfer from Laboratory Boys belonging to regular establishment and from members of the Last Grade Service Employed in the Department; or (2) In the absence of suitable candidates for transfer, direct recruitment. 34. Operative (1) Transfer from among the Last Grade Servants in the Department; or (2) In the absence of qualified candidates for transfer, direct recruitment. 35. Iceman (1) Recruitment by transfer from among Last Grade Servants in the Fisheries Department; or (2) Direct recruitment. Note:- Appointment to the post by direct recruitment and transfer shall be made in the ratio of 1:1. 36. Assistant Mechanic (1) Transfer from the members of the Last Grade Service employed in the Fisheries Technological Stations in the Department; or (2) In the absence of suitable candidates for transfer, direct recruitment.
