(1) This Act may be called the Kerala Fire Force Act, 1962 (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Kerala. (3) It shall come into force in any area on such date as the Government may, by notification in the Gazette, appoint, and different dates may be appointed for different areas and for different provisions of this Act; and any reference in any such provision to the area or areas in which this Act is in force shall be construed as a reference to the area or areas in which that provision is in force.
