In the Kerala Building Tax Act, 1975 (7 of 1975), in the Schedule, under the heading "Other Buildings", after Note (2), the following Note shall be inserted, namely:-- "(3) In the case of buildings having a plinth area of 185.87 square metres or more and completed on or after the 1st day of April, 2013 in which there are installations for rainwater harvesting, waste treatment at source and solar panels having such measurements and specifications as may be specified by the Government by notification in the Gazette, the rate of building tax shall be reduced by 50 per cent.".
