Preambl~ -WHEREAS it is deemed necessary to provide for the better organisation and development of educ~tio.nal insti- tutions in the State providing a varied and comprehensive edu- cational service throughout the State; BE it enacted in the Ninth Year of Republic of India as follows:- b PART I GENERAL. l. Slwrt itlle, extmt aud commwccmc11t -(1) This Act may be called the Kerala Education Act, 1958. (2) lt extends to the whole of the State of Kerala. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the Government may, by notification in the Gazette, appoint and difterent dates may be appointed for difterent provisions of this Act.
