(1) This Act may be called the Kerala Decentralisation of Powers Act, 2000. (2) Sub-section (2) of section 36, section 37 and section 38 shall come into force on such date as the Government may by notification in the Gazette appoint and the remaining provisions of this Act shall come into force at once.
