Repeal.—The Travancore Cutchi Memons Act, 1117 (XIV of 1117) and the Cutchi Memons Act IV of 1106 (Cochin Act) are hereby repealed and the Cutchi Memons Act, 1938 (Central Act 10 of 1938), shall cease to apply to the Malabar District referred to in sub-section (2) of section 5 of the States Reorganisation Act, 1956 (Central Act 37 of 1956). * Received the assent of the President on the 9th day of October,1997 and published in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No.48 dated 8th January,1998.
