Notiftcatioll of assumptiott of Jttfttrintendence .-( 1) Whenever under section 14 or section 1 7 the Government order the court to take under 1ts superintendence the person or property of a proprietor or both, such order of the Government, together with any declaration made under sect10n 14 or section 17, as the case may be, shall be noti- fied in the Gazette. The notificatiOn shall specify the Collector who shall discharge the dutie~ unposed upon a Collector by this Act in respect of such person or property or both, as the case may be. '(2) Such propnetor shall be deemed to have become a ward under the court from the date of the said order of the Government; and the supelintendence ol his person or property or ofboth shall take dfect from the said date, and, as to property, shall extend to all movable and immovable property belonging to him at the date of the order, an1l to wh1ch he shall afterwards become in any way entitled while he conti· nues under such superintendence: Provided that it shall be in the discretion of the court to assume or refram from assuming the supetmtendence of any property which the ward may acquire otherwise than by inheritance subsequent to the date of the order of the Government under section 14 or section 1 7.
