(1) A Cooperative society shall be registered only with limited liability; Provided that this sub-section will not affect the rights and liabilities of societies with unlimited liability which are in existence at the time of commencement of this Act. (2) The word "limited" or its equivalent in any Indian language shall be the last word in the name of a society registered under this Act with limited liability.
