Special provision.—-Notwithstanding anything contained in the principal Act, on the date of commencement of this Act, the existing members in office nominated under items (viii) and (xiv) of sub-section (1) of section 17 and under items (iv) and (v) under the heading ‘Other Members’ in section 19-of the principal Act, shall cease to hold their office by virtue of the provisions of this Act. 5, Repeal and saving —(1) The Cochin University of Science and Technology (Amendment) Ordinance, 2012 (24 of 2012) is hereby ‘repealed. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or deemed to have been done or any action taken or decmed to have been taken under the principal Act as amended by the said.Ordinance shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the principal Act, as amended by this Act.
