Powers and functions of the Senate.-Save as otherwise expressly provided in this Act, the Senate shall have the following powers, namely:- 25 (a) toreview, from time to time, the general policies and programmes of the University; (b) to suggest measures for the improvement and development of the University; (c) toconsider the annual report and the annual accounts ofthe University and the Audit Report on such accounts and to pass resolution thereon; (d) to advise the Chancellor on any matter referred to by him in for advice.
