(1) A person appointed to any of the categories except Editor cum-Press Relation Officer shall, during the period of probation pass the Account Test (Lower) and the Co-operative test, it he has not already passed tests. (2) A person appointed to the category of Editor-Cum-Press Relation Officer shall during the period of probation pass the Account Test (Lower). Note I.- In the case of officers already holding the posts a period of two years from the date of coming into force of this rule, shall be allowed for passing the Co-operative Test. Note II.- The Account Test for Subordinate Officers, Part I of Madras will be treated as sufficient qualification in lieu of Account Test (Lower) in the case of officers allotted to the State of Kerala from Madras, consequent on the State Reorganization.
