Proceeding under Chapter VIII of the Criminal procedure Code not competent against child.—Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in the Code of Criminal procedure, 1898 (Central Act 5 of 1898), no proceeding shall be instituted and no order shall be passed against a child under Chapter VIII of the said Code.
