Powers and Jurisdiction of the Authority.—(1) Subject to the provisions of this Act and the rules made thereunder, the Authority shall have jurisdiction throughout the State in relation to bovine breeding activities. (2) As part of discharging the functions under section 7, the Authority or the officer authorised by the Authority in this behalf shall have the power to collect information required from any semen station or from persons engaged in bovine breeding activities. (3) Whenever the Authority is of the opinion that any person who is in-charge of the premises where the bovine breeding activities are carried out or any other person is carrying out such activities in contravention of any of the provisions of this Act or the rules made thereunder, the Authority shall have the power to call for information as specified from such person.
