Directions by the Government.—(1) The Gopvernment may, after consultation with the Board, give to the Board general directions, to be followed by the Board. (2) In the exercise of the powers and the performance of its duties under this Act the Board shall not depart from any general directions issued under sub-section(1), except with the previous permission of the Government.
