(1) The government shall, by notification in the Gazette, constitute with effect form such date as may be specified in the notification a Board to be called the Agricultural Workers' [11](Welfare Fund) board for the administration of the Fund (2) The Board shall be a body corporate by the name aforesaid having perpetual succession and a common seal and shall by the said name sue and be sued (3) The Board shall consist of such number of members as the Government may determine and they shall be chosen in such manner as may be prescribed: Provided that the number of members representing the Government, the landowner and the agricultural workers shall be equal. (4) The government shall appoint one of the members of the Board to be its Chairman. (5) The term of office of, and the manner of filling causal vacancies among, the members of the Board shall be such as may be prescribed. (6) The names of the members and the Chairman shall be published in the gazette. (7) The Board shall administer the Fund in such manner as may be specified in the Scheme. Substituted by ibid.
