(1)[an elected or nominated] member of the Executive Committee shall cease to hold officer on the day immediately preceding the date of reconstitution of the General Council which elected him. (2) The members of the Executive Committee [other than the elected or nominated members] who have ceased to hold office by virtue of the provisions of Sub Section (1) shall be competent to exercise the powers and perform the functions of the Executive Committee under this Act and the Statutes, Ordinances and Regulations. (3) The quorum for any meeting of the members of the Executive Committee [other than the elected or nominated members] who have ceased to hold office by virtue of the provisions of Sub Section (1), shall be three. (4) No person other than an ex-officio member or the members representing the Indian Council of Agricultural Research shall be eligible to hold office for more than two terms in succession16.
