(1) The Board of Governors shall consist of the following members, namely:-- Ex officio Members (i) The Chancellor; (ii) The Pro-Chancellor; (iii) The Secretary to Government in-charge of the- Higher Education Department, Government of Kerala or an officer not below the rank of a Joint Secretary-to the Government authorised by him; (iv) The Secretary to Government in-charge of the Finance Department, Government of Kerala or an officer not below the rank of a Joint Secretary to Government authorised by him; (v) Vice-Chancellor; (vi) Pro-Vice-Chancellor; (vii) The Director of Technical Education, Government of Kerala; (viii) Dean (Academic); (ix) Dean (Research); (x) One Director of the Indian Institute of Technology, nominated by the Government; (xi) The Director, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre or such an officer authorised by him; (xii) The Director, Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology; (xiii) The Director, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research; (xiv) The Director, National Institute of Technology, Kozhikode. [(xv) The Chairman of the University Students Union.] Elected Members (i) Five members elected by the Members of the Legislative Assembly from among themselves, of whom one shall be a woman and one shall belong to the Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes; [(ii) Six representatives of the students of the University, elected by the students from among themselves as may be prescribed by the Statutes, of whom three shall be from Government engineering colleges, one shall be from aided engineering colleges, one shall be from Government controlled self financing engineering colleges and one shall be from private self financing engineering colleges; of the said members, one shall be a postgraduate student, one shall be a woman and one shall be a student belonging to the Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes;] Nominated Members (i) One eminent Industrialist nominated by the Chancellor on the recommendation of the Government; (ii) Principals of two Engineering colleges nominated by the Chancellor on the recommendation of the Government, of whom one shall be from Government/Aided sector; (iii) Three eminent academicians with post doctoral publications working in national level technological institutions, nominated by the Chancellor on the recommendation of the Government, of whom one shall be a woman; [(iv) Two eminent academicians from any of the Universities in Kerala who has supervised Ph.D. Research and having post doctoral publications.] [(v) Heads or Managers of three engineering colleges, nominated by the Government, of whom one shall be from aided college, one shall be from Government controlled self financing college and one shall be from private self financing college;] [(vi) Two teachers of Government engineering colleges, one teacher of aided engineering college, one teacher of Government controlled self financing engineering college, one teacher of private self financing engineering college, nominated by the Government, who shall be having Ph.D. and ten years of teaching experience; of the said members, one shall be a woman, one shall belong to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes and one shall be a teacher of science subject other than engineering; (vii) One member, nominated by the Government, from among non-teaching staff.] Other Members (i) [x x x x] (ii) Chairman of Start-up Village: (iii) Vice-Chairman of the Kerala State Higher Education Council.
