The Director of Research.- (1) The Director of Research shall be a whole time officer and shall be appointed by the Vice-Chancellor with the approval of the Board. He shall be responsible for the due performance of the functions of the research stations, and shall coordinate research work and exercise such other powers and perform such other functions as may be prescribed. (2) The salary and allowances payable to, and other conditions of service of, the Director of Research shall be such as may be prescribed.
